The School of Urban and Regional Planning Class of 1981, led by class champions, Lee Anne Doyle and Nancy Flagler-Wilburn, created the Planning Class of 1981 Award for Black and Indigenous Students to inspire, encourage and support the Black and Indigenous students in the School of Planning at the University of Waterloo.
“Thanks to your generosity, and in recognition of our 40-year class anniversary, our class has successfully established the Planning Class of 1981 Award for Black and Indigenous Students. This scholarship will support deserving students for years to come by providing an annual award of $2500 for five years (2022-2026), when we celebrate our 45th SURP Class of '81 Reunion.
Donations remain open. If you haven't already, please consider supporting this award. Your gifts will directly impact students and help them feel the sense of community and togetherness we, as alumni, fondly remember.
Through our collective efforts, our SURP Class of '81 can change lives, encourage students and inspire them to make the most of their University of Waterloo experience.
Your support is especially meaningful during these challenging times.”
